Una serie: Fariña, de Carlos Sedes y Jorge Torregrossa
La serie está basada en el libro de Nacho Carretero con el mismo titulo. La trama se centra en el narcotráfico gallego a lo largo de varias décadas. La historia comienza en los 80 en Galicia donde varias familias controlan el tráfico de tabaco. En principio no tienen ningún interés en traficar con otro tipo de sustancias, pero poco a poco expanden su negocio a otras drogas creando una red de narcotráfico entre Colombia y España. En pocos años Galicia se convierte en la entrada principal a Europa de drogas como la cocaína, la heroína y el hachís.
Los protagonistas utilizan mucho vocabulario gallego y hablan muy rápido. Por esta razón les recomendamos usar los subtítulos para comprenderlos mejor.

A series: Fariña (Cocaine Coast), by Carlos Sedes and Jorge Torregrossa
The series is based on the book by Nacho Carretero with the same title. The plot focuses on Galician drug trafficking over several decades. The story begins in the 80s in Galicia where several families control tobacco traffic. At the beginning, they have no interest in trafficking other types of substances, but little by little they expand their business to other drugs by creating a drug trafficking network between Colombia and Spain. In a few years Galicia becomes the main entrance to Europe of drugs such as cocaine, heroin and hashish.
The protagonists use a lot of Galician vocabulary and they speak very fast. For this reason we recommend using the subtitles to understand them better.

Un audiolibro: La ninfa de porcelana, de Isabel Allende
La Ninfa de Porcelana trata sobre un hombre metódico y aburrido, don Cornelio, que descubre en una tienda de antigüedades una estatua de una ninfa llamada Fantasía. Decide comprarla y esto trastoca su ordenada vida. Don Cornelio puede hablar e interactuar con Fantasía, la ninfa, y ella le enseña a mirar a su alrededor con otros ojos y le muestra otras formas de vivir. Sin esfuerzo, don Cornelio pasa de ser un hombre gris a tener ilusión y alegría cada día. Es una historia bellísima que habla de la búsqueda de la felicidad y la paz interior.
La historia está narrada por la propia autora, Isabel Allende. Está recomendado para un nivel intermedio.

An audiobook: The Porcelain Nymph, by Isabel Allende
The Porcelain Nymph is about a methodical and boring man, Don Cornelio, who discovers in an antique shop a statue of a nymph called Fantasía. He decides to buy it and this upsets his orderly life. Don Cornelio can talk and interact with Fantasía, the nymph, and she teaches him to look around with different eyes and she shows him other ways of living. Effortlessly, Don Cornelio goes from being a “gray man” to having illusion and joy every day. It is a very beautiful story that talks about the search for happiness and inner peace.
The story is narrated by the author herself, Isabel Allende. It is recommended for an intermediate level.
