How do we use verbs ser and estar in Spanish?

Level: Beginners

As we know, verb ser is used for permanent, defining, or identity-implying attributes. Here are some examples:

Verb estar is used for non-permanent attributes or conditions

Francisco está muy cansado. Francisco is very tired.

… and for location (with preposition en):

Victoria está en el supermercado. Victoria is at the supermarket.
¿Estás en casa? Are you at home?
Lima está en Perú. Lima is in Peru.
